The LGBTQ+ community has always been underrepresented. The few queer films that we can lay claim to are, more often than not, stories of closeted gay men with unhappy endings. While being able to say we have these films is a step in the right direction, Hollywood continues to turn a blind eye on the rest of the community. 

By recreating scenes from these movies and replacing the gay men with a queer and gender non-conforming individual, Galactic Divide is a commentary on the lack of diversity in LGBTQ+ films.

All queer identities deserve to see themselves represented in happy and healthy relationships. If they won't do it for us, it's time to do it for ourselves. Become the main character and write your own script- there is no need to continue reliving the same shitty plots we keep seeing for ourselves and our community.
